About Financial Foundations of America
Financial Foundations of America (FFoA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals through accessible, understandable financial education. We believe that everyone—regardless of age, background, or economic status—deserves access to quality financial literacy resources.
Our History
Financial Foundations of America was established in 2023 in Suffolk, Virginia by David Swinson and Austin Hale. Our organization was built on a fundamental belief that financial education should be both understandable and actionable for all individuals.
We recognized a substantial knowledge gap regarding financial literacy in the United States. Most financial education derives from informal sources rather than structured programs, creating disparities in financial capability across demographics. FFoA was founded to address this critical need.
Our Approach
